Upon arrival, meet your driver-guide and begin your experience with a magnificent drive to Tarangire National Park (215 kilometers). Tarangire is famous for its gigantic baobab trees and large elephant herds, and the Tarangire River provides superb wildlife viewing opportunities. Take a late-afternoon wildlife drive before unwinding at Tarangire Simba Lodge.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a lush reserve noted for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and a rich bird population. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before traveling to Karatu, located in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Travel through Ngorongoro's stunning highlands, stopping en way at the Olduvai Gorge Museum, one of the world's most important ancient sites. Continue into the huge plains of Serengeti National Park (about 165 kilometers). After lunch, embark on your first game drive through the beautiful savannahs.

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, home to the famed Great Migration (seasonal) and abundant year-round species including lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, and wildebeest. Morning and afternoon wildlife drives highlight the park's constantly changing landscapes and local predators.

After breakfast, drive back to Ngorongoro. Descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as the "Eighth Wonder of the World." On the crater floor, you can enjoy a picnic lunch while witnessing incredible animals. Later, return to the Karatu Simba Lodge.

After breakfast, return to Arusha (about 155 kilometers). Eat lunch at a local eatery before continuing your travel or departing flight.
