Pause for a photo at the gorgeous Jal Mahal, which floats gracefully in the midst of Man Sagar Lake. Continue to the City Palace & Museum, which houses royal relics and magnificent courtyards, followed by a visit to the astronomical wonder, Jantar Mantar.

Before the day is out, photograph the famed Hawa Mahal, the "Palace of Winds," with its distinctive honeycomb façade. The evening is free for leisure, so visit bright bazaars for handicrafts, jewelry, and colorful textiles.

This morning, after breakfast, drive to Ranthambore, one of India's most famous wildlife sanctuaries. Upon arrival, check into your rainforest lodge.

In the afternoon, go on an exciting jungle safari through Ranthambore National Park. There you might see tigers, leopards, sloth bears, and a variety of unusual birds in their natural environment. The adrenaline of the outdoors is combined with the raw beauty of Rajasthan's rough terrain.

Return to your lodge for dinner.
