When you arrive in Hanoi, your local guide will greet you and take you to the city center, which will take about forty minutes.  Early check-in is subject to availability, and hotel rooms are available starting at 14:00. 

In the afternoon, go to Hanoi's largest square, Ba Dinh Square, which hosts all of the city's major political and cultural events, particularly protests. We begin our tour with the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes the One-Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh's house-on-stilts, his fish pond, and the Ho Chi Minh tomb (view from outside as HCM tomb closes on Monday, Friday, and in the afternoon). Next is the Temple of Literature, which is regarded as Vietnam's first university.

Later, we have an hour-long (optional: $5 per person) cyclo tour of the city that takes us around Hanoi's Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as the "Sword" Lake. From here, explore the Old Quarter's winding streets to get a sense of the locals' way of life. Return to your hotel.

Suggested nighttime activities: Sipping local beer at Ta Hien Streets, taking in the atmosphere of a restless street with lively music, interacting with Hanoi's youth and foreign visitors. You can also visit the Old Quarter's hundreds of taverns and pubs. Alternatively, you might just spend your time at other boutiques or shopping centers.

After breakfast, depart Hanoi and travel for 1.5 hours to Ninh Binh province, which is renowned for its breathtaking karst scenery and untamed nature. Visit temples honoring national heroes and the kings of the Dinh and Early Le Dynasties in Hoa Lu, the ancient capital that dates back to the tenth century and is encircled by tall limestone mountains or a natural wall. From here, you can explore rural life by riding a bicycle for an hour along a small country lane that passes through interesting villages and rice terraces.

Take a leisurely two-hour rowing boat journey in the afternoon through three of Tam Coc's natural caverns and along a serene stream surrounded by towering mountains and flowing rice paddies. It deserves to be the day's high point because of the breathtaking view along the gentle row. 

Afterwards, visit the Ngu Nhac Mountain with Bich Dong Pagoda, which is made up of three temples situated in a mountain cave and on a cliff. You can spend the evening at your leisure after driving back to Hanoi.

Check out after breakfast at the hotel. Take a three-hour drive east to Halong Bay, the Gulf of Tonkin's glory, which was named a Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994 and 2006. The route will travel through rural villages and the Red River delta, which is home to verdant paddy fields and hardworking farmers who are planting seedlings or plowing cattle.

Discover the breathtaking splendor of this "Descending-dragon" bay, formed by countless of irregularly shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes, by boarding the overnight cruise when you arrive in Halong. After lunch on board, we can go to the Grottos, go swimming or kayaking, past floating dwellings, and get up close to the islets to take in their splendor.

Before dinner, return to the cruise and take in the culinary demonstration. Attend events aboard the boat in the evening or unwind at your own pace.

To take in the early morning sunrise over the sea, you should get up early. You may imagine how amazing it is to witness the sunrise over the Bay's islets because the Vietnamese refer to the "East Sea" by the point-oriented moniker "Eastern Sea."

Following breakfast, our boat will continue to sail through breathtaking locations, where practically every islet has a name that reflects its shape, such as Sail Island, Fisherman's Head Rock, Butterfly Rock, Turtle Islet, etc. While the cruise is returning to the pier, check out of your hotel and eat brunch on board. After returning to Hanoi for dinner, check into your hotel and enjoy your free time.

(d) Any third-party claims resulting from the Customer’s negligence, misconduct, or breach of obligations under this Policy.
