Learn about local history, including King Singge Namgyal's legacy, before checking into a local guest house or homestay for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at your guest home, head to the peaceful turquoise waters of Tsomoriri Lake, which is located at an elevation of 15,075 feet. Drive across the Mahe Bridge to access the Changthang region, which is home to the nomadic Changpa tribe. Arrive around late afternoon in Korzok Village on Tsomoriri Lake's western coast, where you can see the lake against snow-capped mountains. Spend the evening walking along the beach, meeting with local nomads, and sleeping overnight at a camp or hotel in Korzok.

After breakfast, retrace your steps to Puga Sumdo, which is noted for its hot sulfur springs. Continue via Polokongka Pass (16,140 ft / 4,920 m) to Tsokar Lake, a salt-water lake system on the Rupsho Plateau known for its fauna, which includes wild asses (kyangs), black-necked cranes, and bar-headed geese.
